EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

C & S Blacktopping, Inc is looking for an EQUIPMENT OPERATOR to join our team.  An equipment operator must be able to operate equipment of various sizes and weights, in a safe and efficient manner.  We are a residential and commercial paving contractor based out of the north metro.  

Paver Operator:

• Must be able to operate a paver
• Set-up paver before every project
• Must be able to direct truck driver, enter paver smoothly, raise/lower box, and exit paver when empty.
• Observe material being dumped into hopper for segregation and proper consistency
• Observe distribution of paving material along screed and control the direction of the screed to eliminate voids 
• Manipulates cranks to control the depth of the paving machine that spreads and levels asphalt
• Monitor and perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment. 
• Consistently keep equipment clean and organized to promote professionalism, safety, and efficiency
• Additional duties as assigned by management

Roller Operator:

• Must be able to operate a roller
• Set-up roller before every project
• Distribute, break down, compress, and give a finished surface to cooling asphalt
• Consistently keep equipment clean and organized to promote professionalism, safety, and efficiency
• Additional duties as assigned by management

Skid Loader Operator:

• Operate all controls and functions of the skid loader in a safe manner.
• Be able to operate equipment efficiently
• Ability to fine grade subgrade and aggregate base. 
• Consistently keep equipment clean and organized to promote professionalism, safety, and efficiency
• Additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications and Skills:

• Successfully pass a D.O.T. physical, pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
• Must maintain current driver’s license that meets state requirements, i.e., CDL, Class A, Class B and/or Class C 
• Strong time management/organizational skills
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or Leads with other duties as required
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction and asphalt paving
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

Wage range based on experience.

• Time and a half after 40 hours

GENERAL LABORER

C & S Blacktopping, Inc is looking for a GENERAL LABORER to join our team.  We are a residential and commercial paving contractor based out of the north metro.  

Responsibilities:

• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task
• Assist crew with various duties such as sweeping, tamping, shoveling, raking, and compacting 
• Signal operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and materials 
• Lift, carry, and hold materials, tools, and supplies
• Be kind and courteous to traveling public, pedestrians, and co-workers
• Follow direction of Lead as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite
• Dig, spread, and level construction materials
• Other duties as may be assigned
