CLASS A CDL DRIVER

C & S Blacktopping, Inc is looking for experienced CLASS A CDL DRIVERS to join our team. We are a residential and commercial paving contractor based out of the north metro.

Responsibilities:

Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task
Perform daily pre/post trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines
Check fluid levels, tires, lights, and other controls for safe operation
Hook and unhook trailers as needed
Load and unload materials and equipment as needed
Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment; refer major problems to the Lead
Obey applicable laws and follow dispatch instructions
Act and drive in a professional manner always
Possess the drive to produce quality work with little supervision
Keep vehicles clean and orderly

Qualifications and Skills:

A CLEAN Class A CDL or Class A CDL permit
Tanker endorsements are a plus but not required
Successfully pass a D.O.T. physical, pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
Ability to do manual labor
Asphalt experience is a plus, but not required if you have construction experience
Reliable and on time each day

Wage range based on experience.

Time and a half after 40 hours

EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

C & S Blacktopping, Inc is looking for an EQUIPMENT OPERATOR to join our team. An equipment operator must be able to operate equipment of various sizes and weights, in a safe and efficient manner. We are a residential and commercial paving contractor based out of the north metro.

Paver Operator:

Must be able to operate a paver
Set-up paver before every project
Must be able to direct truck driver, enter paver smoothly, raise/lower box, and exit paver when empty.
Observe material being dumped into hopper for segregation and proper consistency
Observe distribution of paving material along screed and control the direction of the screed to eliminate voids
Manipulates cranks to control the depth of the paving machine that spreads and levels asphalt
Monitor and perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
Consistently keep equipment clean and organized to promote professionalism, safety, and efficiency
Additional duties as assigned by management

Roller Operator:

Must be able to operate a roller
Set-up roller before every project
Distribute, break down, compress, and give a finished surface to cooling asphalt
Consistently keep equipment clean and organized to promote professionalism, safety, and efficiency
Additional duties as assigned by management

Skid Loader Operator:

Operate all controls and functions of the skid loader in a safe manner.
Be able to operate equipment efficiently
Ability to fine grade subgrade and aggregate base.
Consistently keep equipment clean and organized to promote professionalism, safety, and efficiency
Additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications and Skills:

Must maintain current driver’s license that meets state requirements, i.e., CDL, Class A, Class B and/or Class C
Strong time management/organizational skills
Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or Leads with other duties as required
Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction and asphalt paving
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

GENERAL LABORER

C & S Blacktopping, Inc is looking for a GENERAL LABORER to join our team. We are a residential and commercial paving contractor based out of the north metro.

Responsibilities:

Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task
Assist crew with various duties such as sweeping, tamping, shoveling, raking, and compacting
Signal operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and materials
Lift, carry, and hold materials, tools, and supplies
Be kind and courteous to traveling public, pedestrians, and co-workers
Follow direction of Lead as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite
Dig, spread, and level construction materials
Other duties as may be assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

Successfully pass a D.O.T. physical, pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
Must maintain current driver’s license that meets state requirements, i.e., CDL, Class A, Class B and/or Class C
Strong time management/organizational skills
